They passed a cemetery on the left, and she was struck with the sheer amount of visitors she saw. She squinted against the lights of oncoming traffic and realized that they weren’t visiting graves after all; they were just milling about, walking this way and that, some staring over the fence toward the road, the others seemingly oblivious to the world around them.
