That had been her first mistake, one of many she would make that day. She found two strange men, one huge and one not much taller than she was, standing on her doorstep. They were both dressed in dark gray suits, and the little one carried an old-time medical bag. She should have slammed the door right then, slammed it and called the police. But she had been more intrigued than she’d been scared.
