I haven’t updated my blog in a while, and I apologize for that. As many of you already know, I’ve signed with Council Tree Productions to develop my short science fiction story Beside Myself  (available in my collection, Odds and Endings: Fiction Short and Otherwise) and have been working on a pilot script and series bible for that endeavor. The script is 100% done now, and the bible is close, so now I’ll have a little more time for other things. Like working on the third and final book in the Small Things trilogy, which is now projected to be published in 2018.

I’ve just added a new menu item to the website, Events, where things like book signings and author panels will be listed. I should have added this long ago!

For those who are curious about Beside Myself, I urge you to check out the short story in Odds and Endings, available in paperback, Kindle, and audio here: https://www.amazon.com/Odds-Endings-Fiction-Short-Otherwise-ebook/dp/B017I0A6WQ/

Be well!

From Joe's writing

Kingfisher removed an elegant silver pocket watch from his jacket; it was just a few minutes before midnight. Normally he abhorred technology, but the watch was old enough that it didn’t really bother him. He set it nightly against the monstrosity Mr. Quarry kept attached to his wrist, the wristwatch that connected every twelve hours with the atomic clock out of Boulder, Colorado. But that was good. Being off by even a millisecond could spell disaster. And so while he tolerated the simple technology inherent in his timepiece, he recognized his partner’s for what it was—a necessary evil that the smaller man endured so that they could keep to their schedule.
