He’d been dealt a heavy blow, but was far from defeated. Somewhere near was the gatekeeper’s spirit, and this body would lead him to it. Once he’d consumed the spirit, all he’d dreamt of, everything he’d once had, would once again be his. He who controlled the doorway between life and death controlled the universe.
