A Pattern of Shadows, the third book in the Small Things trilogy, is currently with my editor and will be published sometime late this year. It’s been a loooong journey, but thanks for sticking with me. I think you’re going to love this book!

Behind the couch, up against one wall, stood a huge fish tank filled with all kinds of exotic saltwater fish—four-stripe damsels, dragon goby, angel fish, clown fish and half a dozen others she didn’t recognize. Except for a handful of hardy survivors, they were all dead. The fish floated near the top of the aquarium, the water having long turned a sickly shade of green.
